There are times.
Like this one.
My eyes mist and a deep wash of love and sadness rolls through me.
I don’t know where it comes from.
It might come at a poignant moment on TV.
It might be looking at my dog sleep.
Whatever it is, it both aches and nourishes me.
I don’t pull away from the feeling. I let it be.
I’m sitting in the residue of it now. The wave is drawing back. A lightness of being replaces it.
I know it will return. Or something like it will. And that’s okay.
I have something to do. Before I do, I wanted to write this down.
