Silence is where I find myself.
Calm and unattached.
I’m present to what is.
Not pulled or pushed by past or future.
This moment is enough.
It’s strange how easy this is.
Because in other moments it hasn’t been.
I’d have felt an agitation to be doing, fixing, busying myself.
But now, there is silence.
Nothing more or less.
And in this moment I choose to write.
I am listening carefully.
I can hear our aquarium’s white noise.
A car drives past unseen.
The quiet remains. Inside of me.
