Two women.
Both of a certain age.
Sitting down together for the first time.
Steeped in experience and letting the connection guide them.
Before this meeting, they knew very little about each other.
But a spark had been ignited.
Enough for them to arrange the call.
The conversation was easy, thoughtful, and beautifully open.
Whole lives were traversed.
Some points held more fascination, and we settled for a while.
One of the women was me.
I held the door open.
And saw a friend stand at the threshold.
Three hours passed by quickly.
We felt our way to understanding, allowing depth to enter.
We had met.
We had connected.
