A ping.
My hand reaches out.
Without realising it,
my nose is in my phone.
I’ve entered a new realm.
No longer am I in the space
where my body resides.
I am elsewhere.
With phone in hand,
my finger points to new directions.
I scroll.
Time passes.
What was I doing before?
Was it important?
Should I buy that new blouse
that appeared on my screen?
Or that book
that keeps tracking me?
I notice.
I put my phone down.
And take a glorious breath in
and out.
I’m back.
Sorry, I was on mute.
